Assalamu Alaikum, I am Mais

For years, I pursued success, growth, and achievement, yet something within me still searched for deeper meaning. Through life’s turning points, faith, psychology, motherhood, and personal transformation, I discovered that true peace begins when the mind, heart, and soul move in alignment.

Today, I help women reconnect with themselves, strengthen their relationship with Allah, and navigate life with clarity, purpose, and inner peace.

2004 – 2008

In Palestinian households, career counselling looks like this: medicine or engineering, pick one. Blood made me nervous, so I graduated as a Biomedical Engineer, and wore that degree like armour.

2009 – 2021

For over a decade, I built my career as a Biomedical Engineer in the corporate world, showing up, delivering, and climbing. Leadership roles, growing responsibilities, a career that looked exactly like success from the outside. And yet, beneath all of it, one quiet question refused to leave. Is this it?

2015 – 2016

I earned my NLP and coaching certifications expecting knowledge. What I received was transformation. For the first time, I learned to step off the relentless train of my own thoughts and meet myself with gentleness. And that was just the beginning.

2017 – 2019

I enrolled in a master’s degree in business psychology and Coaching , and it opened everything up. Positive psychology, change management, human behaviour , it gave me the frameworks to understand not just myself, but the world I was operating in. I was reading, researching, and absorbing everything I could get my hands on.

2021

Then came a move that changed everything, a relocation to the United States that, looking back, was anything but coincidental. Leaving behind a career, a community, and a familiar world was not easy. But what that stillness gave me; I could not have found any other way. And in that unfamiliar quiet, a question I had been too busy to face finally caught up with me. Are you really a Muslim?

2021 – 2026

That question cracked everything open. I went back to the Quran, not as a ritual, but as a seeker. And what I found inside its pages humbled me completely. In 2023, I enrolled in a Master’s degree in Islamic Religious Leadership and began pursuing an Ijaza in the Hafs narration of the Quran. The wisdom of the deen and my years of studying psychology were not in conflict, they were in conversation, illuminating one another in ways I had never expected. For the first time in my life, I was not just moving through my days. I was rooted.

And all of this was unfolding while I was also simply “living”. I became a mother, carried the invisible load that so many women carry quietly and alone, and lived the full spectrum, joy and grief, clarity and doubt, seasons where I questioned everything. I have not always gotten it right. But what carried me through was a truth I found in my faith, that our religion does not demand perfection. In the mercy of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, there is always a path back. It is from that full, honest, and imperfect experience that I show up for the women I work with. Today, I work with women, walking alongside them through their most defining moments, bringing together the science of coaching, the insights of positive psychology, and the timeless wisdom of the deen.
